Compass Coffee has a new name. Same food, same service... New Name... Welcome to The Galley.
We are a small cafe based in Penarth Marina that serve the very best in Welsh produce. We source local produce where we can, Welsh produce where we can't.
We also serve delicious, exclusive coffee from Fat Dragon Coffee Co, which are roasted fresh here in Wales.

We are lucky enough to have the best staff and the most awesome customers here at The Galley. Over the past two years we have been fortunate enough to have won multiple awards for the best cafe in Wales and Cardiff.
EXPERIENCE PENARTH'S HIDDEN GEM
Often referred to as a hidden gem, The Galley, formally Compass Coffee, has become famous for our breakfasts and our fresh food. We collect our sausages every morning from Thompson's Butchers, our bread is baked and delivered every morning from Bruton's Bakery and our bacon comes from West Wales... A butcher's and baker's breakfast... It's the best!
Welsh Coffee
Our coffee comes from Fat Dragon Coffee Co, the brainchild of Cardiff Blues Bradley Thyer and Welsh international Dillon Lewis. We have been lucky to have been chosen to serve their amazing coffee to our customers at The Galley.
