Not to be confused with the kitchen at Penarth Yacht Club, run by the amazing Huw Picford, The Galley in Penarth Marina was rebranded from Compass Coffee in October 2018 due to a trademark nightmare.
New
Name
We ran a competition online for our customers to rename Compass Coffee, the response was overwhelming! We thought long and hard (we were going to choose 'Coffi Cwmpawd', but that name brought legal complications).
Although renaming Compass Coffee was a bitter pill to swallow, the positive response from the public and media was truly overwhelming.

At least three newspapers picked up the story, the first contacting us after seeing our social media posts for our competition to rename Compass Coffee.
We serve the same multi-award winning food, we provide the same excellent service and we are the same owners... Welcome, to The Galley.
